At the time of writing (November 20, 2008) bluetooth is not supported in Kubuntu 8.10. This has something to do with incompatibility between the bluetooth stack, and the used kernel. Here is a simple workaround. Install gnome-bluetooth, bluez-gnome, and gnome-user-share. Using bluetooth-applet from the bluez-gnome package you can setup your identity and your connections. Using gnome-obex-server from the gnome-user-share package you can receive files from your bluetooth device. |
