Citrix client

The issues below have probably been fixed. First try to install the client the usual way. One problem that remains is that, in Firefox, you have to change a setting of the Citrix-plugin in order to prevent asking the user to start the plugin. Instead the plugin should be started without asking. If this setting is not changed, and the user clicks on a Citrix-link, nothing will happen. This bug also appears under Windows.

The information below is probably obsolete!

First install:

  • libmotif4
  • flashplugin-installer

Download and install the .deb-package of the Citrix receiver from citrix.com.

Note that there is a 32-bits and a 64-bits version. The 64-bits version contains an error in the installation script. After the installation fails, edit /var/lib/dpkg/info/icaclient.postinst and change the line

echo $Arch|grep "i[0-9]86" >/dev/null
into:
echo $Arch|grep -E "i[0-9]86|x86_64" >/dev/null

Then run:

dpkg --configure icaclient
